Digital Features and Services Program Management role in DGRC to steer for cross-functional activities, decision making as well as key strategic project roll out with counterparts from R&D, Purchasing, Controlling, Product Management, Aftersales and other functions. Drive for successful OTA roll-out of the planned Digital Features and Services. Together with R&D, M&S colleagues and colleagues within the team, define processes and strategy for OTA deployment on MBC passenger cars in China according to company strategy. Also to manage interfaces with relevant counterparts in HQ.
This role is part of the “Digital Features & Services Program Management” team under DGRC Program Management center. This role is essential in ensuring close collaboration of worldwide functional teams and smooth execution of both global and local activities and will directly influence the future MBOS strategic offering to the MB product in China.
Main tasks
1. Committee management: OTA committee / reko steering - together with the team, jointly organize regular meetings for cross-functional alignment, steer for decision making, roll-out planning and solution confirmation with key counterparts for OTA deployment. Define tasks and next steps to ensure digital features & services OTA roll-out and relevant aftersales processes implementation.
2. Cross-functional alignment: Create transparency concerning digital project and OTA, Lifecycle improvement premises to all relevant stakeholders according to latest Plan of Records (PoR), create and maintain project documentation materials (Digital premise handbook). Support alignment in regards of MBOS project relevant business model definition with potential partners/suppliers, BC evaluation etc.
3. Timeline and roll-out management: Define key OTA project milestones, align for cross-carline synchronization of timeline among platforms, and drive for successful releases from RD and Quality counterparts to achieve successful launch of the digital feature on planned carlines.
4. Processes setup: Elaborate processes, methods and standards, support MBOS strategic lead to synchronize next-gen MBOS OTA strategy with HQ, and carry over the process to CN.
5. Be a part of the team culture that constantly looking for innovations and improvements, in regards to In-car Operating System / Digital Cockpit product strategy, new technical concept and Eco-system scouting, and cross-functional collaboration model.
Qualification
- University Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in Industrial/Automotive Engineering, Computer Science/Technology or Business Adminstration. Excellent learning ability in new trends & knowledge quickly.
- 5+ years working experience in an international environment in Automotive industry, Cellphone/Mobile Devices industry or Operating System relevant companies. Fluent in English speaking and writing.
- Highly motivated in new Automotive technologies and Digital / Intelligent vehicle, good business sense and strong ability in steering for cross-functional collaborations. Able to work agilely under uncertainties and pressure.
- Project management skills, able to steer sophisticated projects with complex cross-functional work package setup and drive for high quality deliveries and keeping key project milestones.
- Experienced in creating thoughtful and provoking presentations for management that fits to the overall target and strategy.
- Knowledge as a plus: In-car Operating System development processes, E/E Architecture basics, competitor environment and important Eco-system players, potential regulation and legal constraints.
- Experience as a plus: OEM OTA project management experience; automotive digital product & services strategy definition.
