Title: Finance Assistant Department: Office of the Controller Job Type: Outsourced Staff The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has the mandate to foster sustainable economic development, create wealth and improve infrastructure connectivity in Asia by investing in infrastructure and other productive sectors and promoting regional cooperation and partnership. The Finance Assistant (FA) is an integral part of the Cost Control team in the Office of the Controller. FA is primarily responsible for the processing and review of vendor and staff expense claims in accordance with the Bank’s policies and undertake various other activities assigned. In addition, he/she will be the daily contact with various departments and IT service provider on matters relating to the Bank’s ERP and Travel and Expense Management module. Under the supervision of the Senior Financial Control Officer, the FA performs his/her duties in a consistent, accurate and timely fashion. The detailed responsibilities are as follow: ? Processing of staff and vendor payment claims in compliance with the Bank’s established expense management policies. ? Provide clarity on interpretation of various policies relating to vendor and staff claims and escalate unresolved issues as required. ? Follow-up on queries and requests on payment status and reconciliations. ? Provide data and preliminary analysis of cost as needed. ? Participate in system enhancement projects and user acceptance testing. ? Processing transactions and booking accounts payable postings into the general ? Support quarterly Value Added Tax (VAT) refund processing. ? Support periodic audit and internal control review processes. ? Produce and conduct bank-wide training on claims process. ? Undertake ad-hoc assignments at the discretion of the supervisor. Candidate Requirements ? Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting/Finance/Business is required. ? Minimum one year of relevant practical experience working in the process and control function of an international bank, large organization, or public accounting firm. ? Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of financial accounting, workflows and reporting are desirable. ? A high level of personal integrity and a sense of accountability, and ability to work under tight deadlines. ? Strategic problem solver with experience in SAP systems, such as S/4Hana, Concur and/ or Fieldglass, or other ERP systems is preferred. ? Advanced Excel skills and experience in Power BI is a plus. ? Good inter-personal skills. ? Proficient in verbal/written English. ? Team player who can communicate for results.
