Job Summary This position is responsible for developing and delivering professional testing, inspection, certification, and consultancy services of onshore and offshore wind industry in Great China region (GCN).
Job Responsibilities 1.Calculation of structural components of wind turbines using the finite element method and analytical methods 2.Evaluation of extreme and fatigue strength verifications based on international regulations for cast iron, steel and welded components as well as bolted. 3.Evaluation of fatigue strength verifications using damage equivalents, Markov matrices or time series. 4.Representation and discussion of the evaluation / test results with the senior experts on client side. 5.Responsible for the related products (e.g., rotor blade, tower, load assumption, mechanical components) inspection/testing during the manufacturing, design assessment, and certification per regulation/directive/standards. 6.Responsible for the execution of the projects, including test program preparation, carry out the test and inspection, test and inspection report, complete project dossier etc. to ensure conformity to specification and company requirements. 7.Transfer our international expertise in wind engineering esp. onshore and offshore wind to China, Work with others on local and geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary teams e.g., from Europe. 8.Support KA development, new business development and generate technical proposal. 9.Monitor the latest technology development in the wind industry and develop new services which can meet the demand from clients.
Job Requirements 1.Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, civil engineering or a comparable field of study. 2.Relevant professional experience and expert knowledge in the use of finite element methods for structural analysis, preferably with software ANSYS. 3.Expert knowledge in technical mechanics, strength calculation, material mechanics and fatigue strength. 4.Business fluent in English. 5.Ability to solve complex analytical tasks. 6.At least 3 years ideally industry experience in the wind energy sector.
