Your role and responsibilities Role Summary: 61 Cluster Credit Manager (CCM) ensures an optimal credit risk profile of the third-party customer portfolio by taking responsibility, in assigned cluster (of countries), for all credit risk reviews, while outlining mitigation requirements (as needed), monitoring and reporting credit risks, being a subject matter expert for Business Areas/Divisions 61 Acts as an active participant in ABB global credit risk management network, CCM ensures effective implementation of credit risk policy, procedures, processes and supporting documents. 61 CCM is responsible for the proper assessment, review and approval of the creditworthiness of all potential new and existing third-party customers, guarantors and consortium partners (if applicable). This includes credit risk assessments prior to issuing quotations or accepting contracts with respect to sales of goods or services, projects, and sales frame agreements. 61 CCM supports the organization in the establishment and ongoing development of the collaborative credit risk management framework. 61 CCM is the primary speaking partner of Local Business Areas/Divisions for customer credit risk matters. Facilitates effective business decisions by identifying and communicating credit risks and opportunities of business proposals, to avoid revenue loss and contribute to a low cash conversion cycle.
Main Accountabilities 61 Ensures compliance with O2C E2E Credit Risk Policy, and related policies, procedures/ supporting documents, and internal controls defined by Global Process Owner (GPO). 61 Proactively manages third-party customer portfolio while supporting business for informed decisions. 61 Subject matter expert on credit risk topics and supports the local Business Area (BA)/Divisions, providing credit decision & recommendations based on solid rationale. # CCM should consider meeting with customers together with salesperson as appropriate. 61 Accountable for preparation and time bound delivery (before risk review meeting) of credit risk assessment and related material for projects and sales frame agreements. 61 Ensures credit risk assessments and define appropriate credit risk mitigation, as needed; for new requests as well as existing customers. Also, provides assessment on consortium partners, suppliers of domestic domicile, as requested by Head GRCM and/or BAs/Divisions.
Qualifications for the role 61 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar 61 Proven work experience as Credit Manager or more than 5 years of relevant experience in fundamental credit risk analysis of corporations and financial companies, or project risk management. Financial Acumen. 61 Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash end-to-end process, including the identification of the customer, credit risk evaluation, credit terms and conditions, customer billing, cash application, collections and dispute management. 61 Interdisciplinary and networked thinking, strong interest in understanding the inherent complexity and dynamics of countries and industries (including changes in regulatory frameworks) and their relevant impact on corporate and financial counterparty credit risk profiles.
