Amazon is seeking a Rack Decom Tech to support the Data Center Infrastructure Operations. Ideal candidates will be a self-motivated, possess strong communications skills, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies, and phenomenal attention to detail.
You will work in a team environment and collaborate with other teams, which requires strong communication skills. Amazon Data Centers takes customer data with the utmost importance, and selected candidates must be able to perform repetitive tasks without variance and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that ensures customer data is protected and properly handled.

Key job responsibilities
61 Provide technical support in decommissioning and processing of legacy hardware out of the data center facilities
61 Provide technical support in relocating and moving of large enterprise equipment
61 Support hard drive installation, removal and destruction
61 Provide technical support in creating/attaching labels and barcodes
61 Support basic networking removal/installation and clearing of configurations.
61 Provide technical support in updating progress through a web ticketing system.
61 Follow the procedures and document the work done in ticket systems.
61 Provide technical support in HDD/SSD/Flash/Removable storage media.
61 Escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required.



Basic qualifications
Basic knowledge of computer or networking hardware
Able to follow a well-defined technical standard operational procedure (SOP)
Experience in Microsoft office applications including but not limited to Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel
Good written & verbal communication skills to explain complex issues
Able to read English document, write in English to explain simple facts
Preferred qualifications
Familiar with server hardware maintenance
Experience in working in a big team.
Data Center environment safety and security awareness.
Good English written and read skills.
