Platform Business Lead (Capability Lead) in the Platform Team plays a crucial role in analyzing business requirements, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring the successful implementation of platform solutions. The Platform Business Lead will collaborate closely with the platform team, product managers, developers, and various business units to gather, refine, and document requirements. They will also actively participate in the design and development of platform solutions to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Responsibilities Requirement Gathering and Analysis: - Conduct thorough analysis of business needs and translate them into detailed requirements and user stories. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear business objectives, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria. - Identify and document any gaps or inconsistencies in requirements and propose appropriate solutions. - Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements and prioritize them based on business value.
Documentation and Communication: - Prepare clear, concise, and thorough documentation such as business requirement documents, functional specification documents, and process flow diagrams. - Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and project vision. - Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the platform team and with other teams across the organization.
Solution Design and Validation: - Collaborate with architects, developers, and UX designers to translate requirements into solution designs. - Participate in solution validation by reviewing prototypes and conducting user acceptance testing. - Identify and address any usability, scalability, or performance concerns during the design phase.
Project and Product Management: - Assist product managers in defining user stories, prioritizing backlogs, and managing product roadmaps. - Collaborate with project managers to estimate effort, manage scope, and ensure timely delivery of platform solutions. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management and software development processes.
Stakeholder Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs, expectations, and pain points. - Manage stakeholder feedback and prioritize their requirements based on business impact. - Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
Education: - Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Computer Science, Health Care or related field
Experience/Skills: - At least five (5) years of experience implementing platform solutions required. - At Least five (5) Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements and facilitating communication between stakeholders required. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. - Solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies. - Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to achieve milestone and goals. - Proficiency in requirements management tools and techniques. - Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. - Tools: Application Lifecycle Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, & Database knowledge, JIRA & Confluence. - Experience in software development lifecycle processes (SDLC), in pharmaceutical industry or any regulated industry will be desirable. - Clinical systems knowledge highly preferred.
