Our mission
In the Procurement Sustainability team we work with improving and developing new processes, methods, tools and systems to address all the aspects connected to the supply chain ESG. We are currently using and applying standard group processes to evaluate our supplier performance, but a the same time we are creating something completely new to help us to set and pave the way for the decarbonisation of our supply chain in China.
Our current focus is to drive the assessment of all the suppliers involved in the establishment of the new Scania plant in China while setting the roadmap for the future requirements to maintain the best ESB performances and decarbonisation targets of our supply chain.

The team and your role
You will be part of an engaged and committed team which tasks are connected to the supply chain development and your focus will be guide the work for automotive parts suppliers. You will contribute to reach the Sustainability goals together with your peer which is responsible for indirect procurement suppliers.

Examples of your responsibilities are:

Follow VW group work journey in sustainability policies and focus on Decarbonisation and VW synergies in China;
Work with the automotive purchasing team to perform sustainability ratings according to the established process;
Assist the global and local procurement team to set and implement company strategies and build carbon neutral supply chain;
Lead the work with external parties to cover the internal needs into business solutions;
Report to the management team the progress and new solutions on sustainability and suggest the development direction;
Conduct workshops, trainings and facilitate meeting with suppliers and other OEMs;
Drive suppliers to do business improvements and optimize the supply chain from an ESG point of view;
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-brand partners within Volkswagen and TRATON to set the strategy and the direction for Procurement
Represent procurement in ESG related working groups including Health, safety and environment


Your profile
We believe that you have a strong background in roles connected to Sustainability in Automotive or similar manufacturing industries and an interest in the development of sustainability related topics within the company.
You are a self driven individual capable to follow well established processes and at the same time improve their efficiency and proactively propose new solutions to address new sustainability topics connected to our supply chain. You are willing to explore and expand the knowledge on sustainability and ESG related topics with curiosity and you have an open mind attitude to develop something new that can benefit our planet and the way we affect it.

You are brave at driving changes, you constantly challenge the way we are working and strive to improve the way of guiding yourself and others. As a communicator, you share expectations and know that feedback is crucial in driving the development and implementation of new way of working while safeguarding the current ones.
You are analytical, well organized and good communicator.
You are Fluent in English and Chinese.
You are able to travel, mostly within China.
