This role is accountable for performing all assigned tasks with full attention and accuracy to maintain the integrity of the material and the storage processes. The role is also responsible for performing data entry, data analysis, cleaning, maintenance/qualification activities and facilities activities to ensure smooth and continuous functioning of the Biobank operations. This role is based in Beijing, Changping and reports to the APAC Biobank Manager in Singapore and works closely with the Singapore Biobank team.
Key Responsibilities 1. Perform all functions methodically and in accordance with Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 2. Adhere to FDA Good Practices (GMP, GTP, GLP, GDP), International Organization of Standards (ISO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other regulatory requirements as outlined in SOPs and site location. 3. Handle materials in a manner that maintains required temperatures (+30°C to -196°C) per project definition and SOPs. 4. Follow all safety requirements for working with infectious and non-infectious biological materials, chemical compounds and drug products. 5. Utilize the Company Inventory Management System for all sample handling tasks and ensure chain of custody and audit trails for all activities are proactively maintained. 6. Managing the whole life cycle of the samples/materials: a. Reception, b. Manifesting, c. Registration, d. Retrievals, e. Discard/Shipment, f. Other client specific tasks. 7. Investigate and document issues encountered using common and company specific systems. 8. Generate reports and custom reports as assigned/ needed. 9. Work with other team members to help on assigned projects. 10. Proactively manage and drive the resolution of client issues while promoting continuous process improvements. 11. Maintain training file and required documentation. 12. Assist with upkeep of the facility and equipment in a timely manner: a. Cleaning, b. Keeping track of inventory/consumables, c. Installation, d. Preventive maintenance, e. Calibration, f. Qualification. 13. Maintain on-call availability in accordance with schedule set by the employer. 14. Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience: - Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or equivalent - 1 - 3 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. - Strong reading, written and verbal in English and Mandarin - Familiar with biological laboratory environment advantageous though not required.
