Your role and responsibilities 61 Leading R&D electrical team; Plans capacity, people, and resources for R&D projects; Recommends, develops, and improves processes, procedures, and tools to enhance team operations 61 Set SMART targets for team members; Ensures talent management through coaching, performance feedback, and provides development and career opportunities for the team members. Encourage team members to be more proactive in decision making and full ownership of assigned tasks in a self-motive manner; Drives and fosters a culture of innovation within the team 61 Builds, develops, and maintains trust-based relationships with internal (other R&D units, product management, operations, business management) and external contacts 61 Serves as a technical resource for the team and provides technical support for internal and external contacts, following ABB NPD framework 61 Attending new product development of medium voltage generous performance drives as main technical owner and solver for main technical challenges; Application of Design for X practices to the module design 61 Assist with lab management of whole R&D, lead safety topics of whole department, perform regular SOT 61 Prepares annual budgets for the team in cooperation with R&D management 61 Ensures intellectual property and other risks are properly managed Qualifications for the role 61 Master’s or above from Electrical Engineering, Power electronics, electronics… 61 Experience leading a team, either straight- or dotted-line leadership 61 Minimum 3 years’ experience with frequency converter development or similar complex devices using power electronics components; Medium voltage converter system design and power semiconductor knowhow are a plus 61 Excellent communication and presentation skills, positive attitude and team player; Project management skills are a plus 61 Fluent in English
