We give you a world of potential A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our Client Services - shareholder meeting services team within Issuer Services business! We are now looking for an officer to join our shareholder meeting services team in Beijing. The Officer will mainly support the team to ensure a timely service delivery that is also compliant with applicable regulatory requirements. Computershare is a global financial administration company, employing over 14,000 people around the world. Issuer Services (CIS) is the division within Computershare responsible for providing administrative services to Issuer Services clients and their individual security holders.
A role you will love The Officer of the China Meeting Service Team is mainly responsible for supporting the shareholder meeting in the mainland. In cooperation with other members of the team (Senior Manager or manager or intern), the Officer should have the self-research ability, can conduct independent in-depth research on business-related issues, and fully support client services and based in Beijing.
The Officer should coordinate with Relationship Management team to assist our clients to carry out corporate actions, dividend/corporate action payments, and shareholder meetings according to the agreed timeline and regulatory requirement. Some other key accountabilities will include: — Focus on major clients in the mainland China such as Bocom \ Haohai etc. Handling shareholder meetings in Shanghai or other cities, including remote area (covering all designated physical and remote meetings). — Learn about other aspects for listing company services such as dispatching corporate communication documents, dividend payment and corporate actions. — Communicate with COS, RMs, other in-house back-office departments and professional parties (e.g. lawyers, com secretaries, paying banks) for day-to-day operations. — Frequent travel may be required. — Ad hoc tasks as required.
What will you bring to the role? To be successful in this role you will have excellent multi-task and time management skills, pay attention to details and be efficient, willing to travel domestically. Some other key skills required for the role: — Customer focused with excellent listening and communications skills, native Mandarin and fluent in English. — Detail-oriented, self-motivated and has a strong sense of responsibility. — Ability to work independently and collaboratively under work pressure. — Demonstrate initiative, organizational, good learning & problem-solving skills, and meets attendance / punctuality requirements. — Proficiency in MS Office, frequent travel may be required. — Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or closely related areas.
