Essential Responsibilities: 1. Imaging Medical Device Detector electronic and system architect design, interface design, schematic design, debugging and testing 2. Multi generation segment technology planning and rationalization experience with an excellent understanding of product system architecture(s), platforms and core technologies 3. Influencing strategic development of global product roadmaps with a focus on technical differentiation that addresses key customer needs 4. Influencing segment leadership and segment direction through action-oriented recommendations based upon market, competition, and technology 5. Serving as a technical readiness focal point for all pertinent personnel and/or customers 6. Coaching and mentoring in order to develop the engineering community in process, career growth and technical excellence 7. Broad influence over large multi-disciplinary and/or cross-functional teams 8. Provides expert guidance and support to the development organization in various technical/functional aspects of research, development and engineering 9. Engaging in all phases of new product introduction, including concept, architecture, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support 10. Leverage their technical/clinical depth to work on business initiatives aimed at driving technology harmony, innovation, process convergence and/or quality excellence for a particular product line Qualifications/Requirements : 1. Master’s degree or above within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline 2. 15 years progressive experience as an engineer or scientist within the appropriate field of study 3. Demonstrated experience driving technology and segment planning processes with a focus on differentiation and financial return 4. Demonstrated ability to influence and drive segment direction utilizing internal and external resources on segment initiatives 5. Demonstrated strategic planning with experience in driving technical changes across a segment of products Desired Characteristics: 1. Masters or PhD Degree in Engineering or equivalent (defined as 20 years progressive experience within engineering, science, or related field) 2. 5 years project leadership experience within manufacturing, development or research environment 3. More than 10 years CT or DSA detector system development experience 4. Sound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology area 5. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task. 6. Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation 7.
