Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic Executive Assistant (EA) & Translator to support our Vice President, Head of Oncology Division in Beijing. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, with proficiency in French being a significant advantage. A background in the pharmaceutical industry is essential. This role will be divided into 50% Executive Assistant duties and 50% translation responsibilities, and the candidate must be willing to travel as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Assistant (50%):
● Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Vice President of Oncology, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling communications. ● Organize and prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and reports, ensuring all documents are accurate and professionally formatted. ● Act as a liaison between the VP of Oncology and other departments to facilitate collaboration and communication. ● Manage travel arrangements and itineraries for the VP, ensuring a seamless travel experience. ● Coordinate departmental events and activities to enhance team engagement and effectiveness.
Translation Duties (50%):
● Provide oral translation during internal cross-team meetings within the Oncology Division, ensuring clear communication and understanding among team members. ● Accompany the VP to external client meetings and provide real-time translation support as needed. ● Assist in translating documents or materials related to oncology and pharmaceuticals when required, ensuring accuracy and context relevance. ● Build a strong understanding of scientific terminology to facilitate effective communication.
Qualifications:
● Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is preferred. ● Proven experience as an Executive Assistant and/or Translator, with a focus on the medical or pharmaceutical industry. ● Strong knowledge of scientific terminology, particularly in the oncology field. ● Familiarity with translation tools and software. ● Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ● Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. ● Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
