Duties include (but are not limited to): Setting the hardware and integration strategy and direction for the local engineering segment for their respective engineering discipline. Provides the necessary resources to support the needs of local engineering segments in NPI and IB programs, bay activities, and product test capability in a production environment. Functional leadership of the team, including recruitment, talent development, coaching and mentoring Resource assignment and prioritization including headcount and base cost budget Participate in strategic discussions related to the product and technology strategy as it relates to engineering in partnership with product management and other senior technical and business leadership Drive productivity & continuous improvement of program integration, product development and change processes to enable execution of the technology strategy, optimizing team’s participation in all phases of product development Support existing products with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service and Supplier Quality Engineering Be the focal lead on EHS, lead team maintain 5S in engineering bays and labs
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Engineering Mechanical or Electrical 5 years’ experience in project leadership or driving new product introduction. Experience working in cross-functional relationships, strong influential and communication skills Passionate and able to handle multi-tasks in parallel Clear thinking and creative in driving improvements Specific experience in developing a system, software and/or hardware deliverable component to a new product, as an individual contributor or part of a project team, such that exposure and responsibility for the development phases of requirements management, conceptual design, detailed design and test has occurred Demonstrated mentoring ability – bringing skills and capabilities to others across the teams.
