Description: The Hardware Integration Manager is responsible for managing all the Hardware Integration activities for the local product engineering segment and lead all the hardware Integrators. In addition, the manager has all Technicians who develop and maintain the bays, processes and procedures required to verify new products meet their specifications and intended uses. This team works closely with Service, System, Software Integrators, AMEs and Program Managers to provide the infrastructure in support of Installed base and NPI program goals, integrates system hardware to meets customer requirements for product quality, cost, to ensure that new product development is done on-time, to right quality and cost.
Duties include (but are not limited to): 1. Setting the Hardware Integration strategy and direction for the MR China Innovation Center for their respective engineering discipline 2. Provides the necessary resources to support the needs of MR China Innovation Center in NPI and IB programs, bay activities, and product test capability in a production environment 3. Functional leadership of the team, including recruitment, talent development, coaching and mentoring 4. Resource assignment and prioritization including headcount and base cost budget 5. Participate in strategic discussions related to the product and technology strategy as it relates to MR engineering in partnership with product management and other senior MR technical and business leadership 6. Drive productivity & continuous improvement of program integration, product development and change processes to enable execution of the MR technology strategy, optimizing team’s participation in all phases of product development 7. Support existing products with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service and Supplier Quality Engineering 8. Be the focal lead on EHS, lead team maintain 5S in engineering bays and labs, manage system warehouse and equipment calibration 9. Lead Engineering Change process and system hardware centric projects in MR China Innovation Center Qualifications: 1. Master’s Degree in Bio-engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or Automation engineering 2. 5 years’ experience in hardware development or driving new product introduction. Experience working in cross-functional relationships, strong influential and communication skills 3. Passionate and able to handle multi-tasks in parallel 4. Clear thinking and creative in driving improvements 5. Specific experience in developing a system, software and/or hardware deliverable component to a new product, as an individual contributor or part of a project team, such that exposure and responsibility for the development phases of requirements management, conceptual design, detailed design and test has occurred 6. Demonstrated mentoring ability – bringing skills and capabilities to others across the teams. 7. Demonstrated experience in Engineering change control and experience in design transfer activities
