Responsibilities: 1. Support RF activities for NXP wireless MCU families, including wifi (5G/2.4G), Bluetooth LE, 802.15.4 2. Define/review the RF specification/performance for new wireless MCUs 3. Design/review the RF peripherals (matching, FEM, antenna) for in-house EVK or external customer HW 4. Debug/fine-tune the RF subsystem to make sure the best RF performance achieved on both NXP EVK and customer HW 5. Perform pre-test according to major regulations like FCC part 15, EN300328, SRRC 6. Analyze/validate RF performance under complex/mixed RF use case, like coexistence, strong interference, crowded spectrum, and severe attenuation/reflection channel 7. Co-work with other teams for RF issues in applications like UWB or BLE localization 8. Support HW design/debug/review activities for NXP wireless MCU, particularly around: The memory subsystem if external flash/RAM is required; Power supply subsystem (DC/DC or PMIC); Low power system design and validation 9. Develop test/demo SW (independently or co-work with SW team member) for internal and external projects 10. Develop application note or reference design for IoT/Industrial/Auto market 11. Interface to SW team or design team to communicate HW/RF problems or customer requirements for further function/performance improvement 12. Support competition analysis and other marketing activities 13. Support New Product Introduction process, and prepare necessary application note or other technical document 14. Requirements: 1. Solid RF knowledge and lab development/test experiences 2. Master degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication or Microwave disciplines 3. Solid knowledge/experience to measure and fine-tune the performance of wifi/BLE/802.15.4 RF system, like VSWR, noise figure/sensitivity, SNR, Tx power, linearity, EVM, co-channel and adjacent channel rejection 4. Good knowledge about antenna performance, measurement, or simulation. 5. Good experience with ADS or other RF simulation SW is a strong plus 6. Familiar with test equipments for RF system. 7. Good experience with MATLAB/Simulink Toolset and Python/LabView for test automation is also a strong plus 8. Good experience with Cadence Allegro or other EDA system 9. Prefer to have sound SW capability with C & python for embedded SW development and test 10. System knowledge/experience on BLE, Zigbee, Thread, Wifi, IPv6 protocol is welcomed 11. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently, but also need good team spirit. 12. Fast learning capability is also required 13. Very good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English 14. Very good SW knowledge and experience with C/C++, Python, RTOS, embedded SW development
