In the role of “Application Engineer”, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies to grow the platform as a real product together with us and help to drive the architecture, implementation of best practices and the design of our microservices landscape for a fully connected future.

Your tasks
02Requirements elicitation and specification mapping.
02Collect technical customer requirements, specifications and associated documents.
02Provide proposal for ZF product matching customer requirements, resolve deviations in consultation with product group engineer and customer.
02Create change request for non-acceptable deviations including breakdown of customer requirements
02Product layout and configuration
02Select / design / calculate product layout for customer application
02Consolidate / prepare product documentation (Drawings, schematics, plumbing/wiring diagrams, DMU’s, specifications, bill of material etc.)
02Configure product according to customer needs (e.g. parameter setting)

Your profile
02Minimum 2 years of experience in Product Engineering in the automotive industry, degree in Engineering
02Good overview on ZF products, specific knowledge about products and system functions of a particular product family
02Good knowledge about vehicles, sub-systems and operating environment
02Good knowledge in diagnostics, instrumentation and data acquisition systems
Good knowledge of J1939 protocol
Familiar with Vector CAN tools
02Can communicate in English
