MISSIONS
In the field of Localization in PRC of steering components, the missions are the following:
61 Manage EPS/column design, development, and industrialization of components with local suppliers fulfilling the Quality, Cost, Planning and Performance targets of Vehicles & Platform Projects
61 At serial life stage, provide technical support to solve quality issues or make evolutions.
61 Manage Eco topic with suppliers to reach cost down target
JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Activities:
89 Make the management of steering components development.
89 Prepare the RFQ documents and organize the suppliers’ consultation, analyze the supplier offers and propose technical judgments to WW engineering team based on request.
89 Supplier Quality Management (SQM): ensure the supplier completed APQP items on time.
89 Manage the supplier engineering work thanks to periodical technical reviews (product design, tooling realization, validations, process lay-out…)
89 Update component development schedule, communicate towards SSTL and core team.
89 Analyse of supplier technical data (drawings, prototype & samples reports, testing reports, product & process qualification reports…) and provide the technical assessment.
89 Request for assistance of Cast & Material Engineer to complete technical analyses.
89 Guarantee the conformity of the parts (by involving audit on supplier site if needed)
89 Organize internal bench validations with support of WW partners according to the project timing.
89 Vehicle testing of concerned parts: manage parts samples supply, support riding team during tests.
89 Ensure the assembly process of component on the vehicle in the final factory is acceptable.
89 Lead the necessary product evolution: instruct ‘FETE/ECR’ with suppliers, update, and release data. Be aware of configuration of components.
89 Approve the process qualification of the supplier on site.
89 Assist Project Manager to solve quality problems on pre-serial vehicles, and in production lifetime.
89 Collect, record, and share the technical documents all along the work progress.
89 Give feedback to WW engineering dept about possible improvements of component technical specifications for PRC use – ask for completion the Technical Reviews checklists.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Skills:
61 Academic Training: Mechanical, Vehicles Engineering.
61 Specific Academic Training: Chassis and steering.
61 Knowledge: Rich knowledge of EPS/Column structure with their key parameter while developing. Well cognition of EPS/Column development process and key performance. If know the EPS tuning will be better.
61 Experiences: Senior Engineer: 5+ years of experience in steering system development. At least leaded one completed& integrated EPS/Column development from RFQ to SOP along with project.
61 Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written) is ok, and Fluent French (spoken and written) is preferred.
61 Tools: CATIA skills are mandatory
61 Behavioural Ability: Rigorous and with good technical analyse ability; good communication skills; good motivation of working in steering field.
