JOB DIMENSIONS

One important function of CRDC is to offer innovative materials to our customers, mainly in Asia, for the injection market by selecting the appropriate material within the Technical Polymers products portfolio or by developing new grade that will answer the technical requirements needed for the application.

New Product Development team is working intensively with Business Development team and have a strong interaction with the different research centers in Europe, America or Asia.

The majority of its work requires coordination/collaboration with most of the teams of the Business Unit such as Business, Sales, Research, Production, HSE, Supply chain, etc. It requires good communication skills, dynamism and reactivity, but also a good understanding of the technical, manufacturing, intellectual property and business challenges.

This position, as one member of the New Product Development team, will participate to new product development, internal request coordination/management, production trial evaluation, patent review/management etc.

ACTIVITIES

* Safety:

* Identify, evaluate, control and reduce the potential risks that we are facing in our daily work

* Participate to the global effort to continue our 0 accident policy : report risk behavior, implement new controls, new ideas etc  

* Research - New Product Development for HPP Business Unit :

* Manage and coordinate internal requests with process and analysis teams

* Lead project, manage and coordinate the development of new products by following the Stage Gate Process practices and by working closely with all team members from Business, Product Stewardship, Manufacturing, HES, IP teams etc.

* Report projects progress regularly via presentations, reports during meetings or discussions with research, business teams and management

* Knowledge capitalization / Technology survey:

* Bibliography research on new technology, new additives, fillers, new raw materials etc.

* Participate to the global research portfolio management by writing technical reports

* Innovation :

* Create new Idea Proposal

* Create new Invention Record

* Participate to the global patent portfolio management of the BU by monitoring the competitors patents and by applying patents

High Performance Polymers (HPP) Business Unit is one of the majors Department of Arkema High Performance Segment; it holds Worldwide Leader positions with several of its product range and in several markets. Developing R&D expertise in Asia-Pacific is a key step for the Business Unit strategy in this growing area.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

MS with a technical background in Polymer/Materials/Chemistry. Minimum of 5 years experience in project management and knowledge on polymer processing will be preferred.
