Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning: · Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives. · Identify opportunities for logistics optimization and cost reduction. · Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive. 2. Logistics and Distribution: · Manage logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. · Optimize transportation routes, carriers, and warehouse operations. · Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. 3. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): · Lead the S&OP process, ensuring effective collaboration between sales, marketing, finance, and operations. · Balance supply and demand to optimize inventory levels, reduce stockouts, and minimize excess inventory. · Facilitate S&OP meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders. 4. Demand Forecasting: · Oversee the demand forecasting process, utilizing historical data, market trends, and sales insights. · Collaborate with sales team to gather accurate and timely demand information. · Implement advanced forecasting tools and techniques to improve forecast accuracy. 5. Logistics Planning: · Develop and manage production plans, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory policies. · Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and efficient production. · Monitor and adjust plans as needed to address changes in demand, supply disruptions, and other variables. 6. Inventory Management: · Oversee inventory management strategies, including safety stock levels, reorder points, and inventory turnover. · Implement processes and systems to track inventory levels accurately and in real-time. · Work to reduce excess inventory and minimize obsolescence. · Other tasks assigned by leaders Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. · Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. · Proven experience with S&OP, demand forecasting, and inventory management. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. · APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent is a plus.
