Tasks in the role of VC China local portion Project Manager: 1. Manages his/her project and resources participating in it so that the targets of the project as well as Valmet PFT are met. 2. Reports project progress to the management, the MC project manager and the customer. 3. Manages and supervises customer project execution in such a way that the customer receives a functioning process entity that conforms to the contract and the given schedule. 4. Supervises the project economy and updates the project cost follow-up and estimate together with the Project Accountant. 5. Operates as local main contact of customer, consultants, sub-suppliers and partners as well as of all involved Valmet units from the contract signing to the end of project warranty period. 6. Sets up and manages a project Quality Assurance plan. 7. Manages project risks and coordinates risk elimination and/or containment. 8. Operates as employer representative when on site supervising that common Valmet On Site rules are followed. 9. Handles daily communication, meeting arrangements and other coordination as required locally. 10. Maintain contact with relevant departments, supervise and track the delivery status within the scope of the contract, and promptly conduct risk assessments and plan execution, and keep records. Responsibilities of Project Manager: 1. Customer contacts from assignment to the end of warranty period. 2. Proactive information transfer between Valmet, the customer, consultants and sub-suppliers 3. To check with and to consider customer expectations / targets / needs in the supply chain and when needed, to rectify and correct these to correspond to the actual delivery. 4. To get basic information from customer / consultants / sub-suppliers to Valmet and vice versa. 5. Checking of concepts and implementation of customer specific requirements in the supply chain. 6. Schedule coordination between customer / consultants / sub-suppliers and Valmet. 7. Coordination of sub-supplier's and Valmet's delivery portions as well as supervision of procurement. 8. Arrangement of external and internal project meetings. 9. Project cost follow-up, optimization and estimation as well as clarification and reporting of cost deviations. 10. Reporting of problems, quality flaws and RTD needs as well as customer claims and complaints. 11. Project documentation. 12. Contact with authorities in context of projects. 13. Supervision of customer purchase orders and invoicing as well clarification of problems and delayed payments. 14. Organizing the project with the customer and internally with Valmet units. 15. Set up of Quality Assurance plan and following it up. 16. Risk management with related actions. 17. When separately agreed, to participate in customer training and site operations. 18. To agree with customer on plusminus lists and subsequent invoicing. 19. Coordination of warranty items and after start-up worklist as well as closing the project. 20. Contact with customer during warranty period and securing the reference value of the project. 21. Transfer of customer relationships to Service organization during the warranty period.
