POSITION SUMMARY The Applications Engineer will interface directly with our customers. The role works as part of a team of other Applications Engineers and Account Managers who work closely with Sensata’s global engineering, sales, and other cross-functional disciplines. RESPONSIBILITIES 61 Utilizes advanced knowledge of engineering principles & practices in the design, development, analysis and release of products throughout the product life cycle 61 Present in regular meetings with customers to provide an emphasis on technical problem solving. Supports existing customers on new product development projects under development 61 Communicate business and technical information between the customer and Sensata 61 Develop and maintain an in-depth technical understanding of Sensata’s products and competitor product offerings 61 Leads design review sessions, both customer and internal, as required; this includes conducting drawing and specification reviews with customers 61 Leads failure analysis examinations and prepare failure analysis reports of findings 61 Ensure projects meet customer requirements and quality standards 61 Perform engineering analyses. Review product specifications and utilize computer aided engineering applications to apply conditions, replicate performance, and evaluate the manufacturability of products 61 Help develop and refine 'standard' product configurations that capitalize on the company's strengths and products. Provide onsite technical assistance to the sales team at industry trade shows and customer demonstrations 61 Negotiate technical specifications 61 Respond to requests for proposals and assist in the preparation of quotations for standard and custom products 61 Establish and maintain customer engineering relations. REQUIREMENTS 61 A university degree (i.e. Bachelor’s degree) is required, with a major in Electronics Engineering 61 Be familiar with SCR, with at least 5years experience of integrated circuit related is required 61 Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands 61 Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation 61 Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results 61 Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity 61 Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards 61 Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) 61 Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.
