The Supplier Quality Engineer leads and supports daily supplier management activities at the Sensata make site. Working with cross functional teams to resolve any supplier related concerns they will also take the lead for New Product Development and change management across the site ensuring support for critical projects.
General Responsibilities
61 Support containment activities
61 Communicate with relevant internal/external contacts and ensure timely closure and effectiveness
61 Notify suppliers quality issues, drive supplier report, verify and assure suppliers’ effective containment action, root cause analysis, and corrective actions/preventive actions
61 Provide support during reviews and supplier selection process
61 Assist with audits
61 Communicates with the supplier on their quality performance
61 Assists with providing actions in case a supplier is not meeting the quality expectation and targets
61 Ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain
61 Communication and alignment across regions
Experience / Qualifications
61 A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
61 Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
61 Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
61 Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
61 Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
61 Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
61 Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
61 Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
