The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist will be responsible for interfacing with the business and our suppliers to ensure the processing of invoices and payments are done correctly and on time. The AP Specialist will perform all aspects of the accounts payable function by matching purchase orders to invoices and entering the invoices into the software according to the internal policies and deadlines; identify errors or discrepancies and resolve before processing.
General Responsibilities 61 Coordinates processing of invoices, credit or debit memos according to the company's procedures 61 Assists with communication with suppliers in respect of missing documents and information61 Answers internal requests in respect of invoices and payments and resolving issues 61 Assists with the processing of payments to suppliers and ICO payments according to schedule 61 Processes manual requests for payment61 Contacts colleagues from other departments for missing documents, authorization or approvals 61 Keeps reconciled supplier accounts 61 Participates in the reconciliation and month end activities as per schedule 61 Answers internal requests in respect of invoices and payments 61 Coordinates the month end AP accruals reporting 61 Support audits as required61 Support other accounting projects as necessary
Experience / Qualifications 61 A university degree majoring in finance is required (i.e. Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent relevant work experience 61 Experience in AP at foreign companies is preferable. 61 Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands 61 Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation, in either Chinese or English 61 Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results 61 Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity 61 Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards 61 Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) 61 Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
