Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for building and maintaining databases and applications. Will require both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users. This position will also provide user support as needed. Must be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, and willing to learn from a talented and diverse team around them.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supports and maintains database applications
- Assist in design, setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
- Conducts system tuning, performance monitoring and database maintenance
- Develops reports and custom requests for users
- Maintain backup strategy and monitor database efficiency
- Provide timely and creative solutions to difficult problems
- Assists with application and user support when needed
- Must be available 24/7 via cell phone to respond to database driven services and applications
- Creates web front end interfaces for input, queries and reporting
Core Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms
4+ years of relevant experience in database administration
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows, MSSQL and MySQL
- Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, SPA and Test Link
- Dedication, teamwork and professionalism
- The ability to handle high pressure situations and deal with ambiguity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Reliable, and can be counted on to work all scheduled work days
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Experience with Test Track Pro or Helix ALM
- Some familiarity of game development systems is advantageous
- Interest and knowledge of video games and game development
