BASIC FUNCTIONS: Fully perform the duties of a procurement engineer, and achieve the company's procurement-related targets such as raw materials and semi-finished products ESSENTIAL or FUNDAMENTAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Managing End to End process for the assigned suppliers: -Creating purchase orders and getting order acknowledgment from suppliers. -Communicate with suppliers about technical standards and quality requirements. -Follow up on the supplier production schedule and update the purchase order delivery dates. -Make sure the shipment is on time and follow up with the logistics team on the delivery date. -Following up with the Warehouse to ensure the received items are transacted in the system. -Managing supplier scorecard (Delivery & Quality performance). -Negotiate on the Lead time reduction and manage the Lead times in SAP (Purchase Info Record Lead-time). -Follow up on payments for the invoices that the supplier has submitted. -Address purchase order price variation & update source list.
2. Working with Supplier Performance Engineers (Strategic Sourcing Team): -Working with SPEs when the delivery or Quality performance is deteriorating. -Work closely with them in need of improvement in delivery or lead time. -Work with Strategic Sourcing team for all the KOB1 & KOB2 projects to negotiate on the LT & Price (if required).
3. Report Generation -Need to do data collection and analyze the reports to ensure all the metrics are met.
4. Individual Projects -As assigned they need to do improvement projects to maintain good data inside the system (SAP).
5. Need to attend training as and when assigned to sharpen the skills to support the procurement tasks.
6. Cooperate with the department manager to reach annual targets within departments.
7. Put maximum attention and good judgment in preventing EHS accidents, and take the appropriate actions.
8. Under the jurisdiction area, take responsibility for maintaining good EHS working conditions and working habits to ensure safety and health protection.
REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES): 1. Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical, mechatronics-related majors; 2. More than 4 years of procurement work experience, working experience in multinational companies is preferred; 3. Familiar with office software such as MS-OFFICE and ERP (SAP); 4. Familiar with the basic knowledge of international trade and international logistics processing procedures; 5. Proficiency in Japanese; 6. Good communication and business negotiation skills; 7. Understand the related procedures of quality management, production process control, and supplier management; 8. Independent, proactive, and active thinking; 9. Good customer service awareness and teamwork spirit.
