Responsibilities: To manage the QA Department for assigned projects & staff: managing test process & submissions, planning of resources internally, ensuring the highest quality of product to deadlines, coordinating all related staff & departmental issues. This includes: ? Monitor the performance of QA Leads and testers and assist the Director in the annual process of reviews and appraisals. ? Assist the QA Director in the process of hiring, training, and mentoring staff. ? Coordinate communication and information between Chengdu QA staff and the rest of the QA Management and staff, the international 2K Games QA Departments in the US and UK, internal and external Product Development group mainly in the US, EU, and China. ? Function as a QA Manager on projects as required. ? Maintain and monitor bug database. ? Effectively check and assess industry standards and compliance issues across multiple platforms (PC/Mobile/Sony/Microsoft) and to co-ordinate and assign tasks to staff during the QA process. ? Prepare and present weekly status reports to the QA Director. ? Building and Developing Relationships with 2K QA, Development, Production and External testing partners. ? Help the QA Director to maintain and update the testing policies, procedures, and standards across specific products. Key skills: ? Minimum of 8 years’ experience working in QA including 3 years’ experience at QA Lead/Manager level. ? Ability to work and perform on a mid-management position having to function as a lead while managing a group. Ability to liaise with other departments when required. ? Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin, both oral and written. ? Knowledge of bug database systems. ? Staff management skills. ? Hardworking, reliable, punctual, flexibility to work unsociable hours depending on deadlines. ? Ability to act independently and take initiative. ? Strong interest in the videogames industry. ? PC hardware literate and with knowledge of MS Office suite. ? Mobile platform and Online game testing knowledge is preferable.
