POSITION SUMMARY Strong candidates will share our ethos – enjoying collaboration and learning, embracing cross-cultural adaptability, and sharing a resilient and ethical passion for developing an outstanding college preparatory school.
There are five basic components of a Primary School Teacher’s duties and responsibilities:
1. Course/Class Sections: Responsible for the primary school Math classes. Dipont KCS Chengdu emphasizes an applied, integrated STEAM approach, therefore, teachers are expected to engage in cross-disciplinary planning and incorporate project-based instruction in course lessons. 2. Advisory: The advisory system in the Primary School pairs pupils with a homeroom teacher who helps them gain the most from their Academic and Pastoral Care schedule. The Tutor is someone parents can turn to with any questions and is the “school parent” available to offer advice, support, and encouragement to pupils throughout the school day. 3. Pastoral Care: Primary School Teachers are expected to share and develop their passion, knowledge and experience by contributing to our holistic educational community with integrity and punctuality. 4. Communication: The learning for all children is optimized when educational partners are proactively engaged, educated and informed.
