Your Job As an OT Security Engineer at Molex, you will be in the forefront in the protection of our manufacturing from current and evolving cyber threats.
Our Team You will be part of a dynamic worldwide Cybersecurity department tasked with protecting our companies’ digital assets, partnering with departments across the company securing the infrastructure used to make world class products and services.
What You Will Do 1. Identify gaps in security of the infrastructure used to build our products. 2. Implement security solutions to improve the security posture of our OT environment. 3. Install and maintain security solutions for OT systems. 4. Monitor OT systems for security breaches or intrusions. 5. Respond to security incidents in our OT environment. 6. Discover and remediate vulnerabilities in our OT environment. 7. Partner with and evangelize security throughout our manufacturing sites 8. Document OT security procedures and processes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 1. Industrial Control Systems (ICS) 1) Understanding of ICS architectures and components (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLCs, HMIs). 2) Familiarity with ICS protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC). 2. Cybersecurity Fundamentals 3) Knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles (e.g., confidentiality, integrity, availability). 4) Understanding of network security concepts (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs). 3. Threat Landscape 5) Awareness of common threats and attack vectors specific to OT environments (e.g., malware, ransomware, insider threats). 6) Knowledge of threat intelligence sources and analysis. 4. Incident Response 1) Experience in developing and implementing incident response plans. 5. Network Architecture 1) Understanding of network segmentation and segregation principles. 2) Knowledge of secure network design and architecture. 6. Monitoring and Detection 1) Experience with security monitoring tools and techniques specific to OT (e.g., SIEM, anomaly detection systems). 2) Understanding of log management and analysis.
What Will Put You Ahead 1. Experience with Dragos OT Security Platform. 2. Networking certifications such the Cisco CCNA or CCNP. 3. Experience as a process control engineer. 4. Understanding of risk mitigation strategies and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). 5. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NERC CIP, IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82).
