Job Scope

Main Target Summary 61 Design hardware of sensor products.
61 Develop product according to company development procedure. (Include Customer requirements analysis, concept design, detail design, Test implement and related documentations)
61 Design optimization.
61 Cooperation with different function.
Tasks Summary & Responsibilities
61 Product development – PDCA
o Understand customer requirements and transfer the customer requirement to product feature.
o Working together with mechanical engineer on concept design and validation test.
o Design electronic module and complete the testing of new product.
o According to analysis of new product’s characteristics, solve the problem while occurred during testing product and ensure new product’s research go on smoothly.
61 Equipment and documentation – Maintain and renew related engineering equipment. Compile and release the design/technical documentation.
61 Global Communication – Communication with cross functional teams including global engineering team (US, Europe), product manager, manufacturing team, automation manufacturing team and testing.
61 Communication and Reporting – Provide regular updates to team and management on program status, gaps, and where needed, provide potential solutions. Effective communication to internal and customer engineering teams.

Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant (not the actual incumbent at TE Connectivity)
Educational Degree 61 Bachelor or Master degree on EE or similar in process
Professional Experience
(years in what processes and function) 61 At least 3 years design experience.
Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills Mandatory Requirements:

61 Good English skills, speaking and writing.
61 Thorough knowledge of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma) such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc.
61 Analytical, structured, solution-oriented, and very precise way of working.
61 Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills (in English) to effectively communicate to the global team.
61 Electronic Functional and component Knowledge.
61 Electro-circuit design and failure analysis knowledge.
61 PCB layout and assembly process.
Additional Requirements (optional):

61 VB, C/C++ language knowledge on calibration tooling is preferred.
61 EMC design and test experience is preferred.
61 Sensor design experience is preferred.
61 Explosion protection experience is preferred.
