ROLE OBJECTIVE
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the APAC Resolver Engineering team.
Your primary responsibility will be, to guide the team in timely delivering high-quality, cost-effective and reliable Sensor Products, more specific Resolvers.
Beside your Focus on Execution of China projects, you will play a crucial role in a cross-regional collaboration with the Competence Center in EMEA and the Global Design Center in India.
You will report directly to the Global Resolver Engineering Leader and will work closely together with the Global Platform Engineering Leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Technical Leadership
61 As a manager, you will lead the Resolver NPI Product Engineering China team.
61 Foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team, and promote cross-functional collaboration Globally.
61 Oversee design, simulation, and prototyping, optimizing for performance, cost, and reliability.
61 Collaborate with Process Engineering / Operations to develop efficient manufacturing processes for a high-quality sensor production.
Therefore, you will need to travel on regular base to the TE plant in Suzhou and less frequent to the TE plant in Shanghai.
61 Provide technical support to customers on Resolver integration and troubleshooting.
2. Monitor the NPI Project Execution progress
61 Monitor the project progress (Quality, Cost, Timing) together with PjM and all other functions. Escalate if needed.
61 Manage the team located at TE Shanghai, Suzhou and Chengdu to ensure successful completion.
61 Manage the Engineering Expenses within the Total Budget as aligned with the Global Engineering Leader.
3. Drive the Team for Excellence
61 Drive the Design to Value, Should Cost, Front-loading Mindset, aligned with the Global Engineering and Platform Leader.
61 Foster a trustful and inclusive Mindset.
61 Enhance Lean Product Development and drive strong P&L outcomes.
61 Maintain a System level understanding of customer application and the concept necessary for providing a solution to the customers’ expectation.
4. Drive Contribution to Global Resolver Product Line
61 Align with Global Engineering and Platform Leaders the main expectations.
61 Contribute to identify Innovation and Industry Trends and define Roadmap Priorities.
5. Partner with all cross-functional leaders to drive Continuous Improvement
61 Work with manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all TE technical, quality and cost objectives.
61 Work with Project and Product Management to put focus on the right priorities.
61 Successfully facilitate transfer and support of new product introduction (NPI) into high volume manufacturing.
61 Drive VAVE and other Margin Improvements.

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE
61 8 – 12 years of experience in Product Development.
61 Engineering Master degree, preferably in area of electronics, mechanical, or low frequency electromagnetics.
61 Behavior for leadership (managing vision and purpose, organizational agility, drive for results, developing direct reports).
61 Solid knowledge of Automotive sensors development and Automotive Quality Management systems.
61 Understanding of product testing & validation as per OEM’s specifications.
61 Good Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills.
61 Should be Self-Motivated, Adaptive, Passionate about results and a Good Team Player.
61 Strong Technical Aptitude with Willingness to learn new Technologies quickly.
61 Demonstrated working Experience in a fast paced and changing environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
61 High Degree of Team Acceptance.
61 Good at Communication Skills, motivational skills & Administrative Skills
61 Fluent communication in English is a must, both written and spoken
61 Excellent judgment, timely and high-quality decision-making skills
61 Good at Root Cause Analysis & Problem-Solving abilities
61 Ability to provide technical support to customer, sales, PjM, PM, and Manufacturing team.
61 LEAN DFSS Green Belt certified, Black Belt is a plus
