61 Conduct and coordinate nonlinear structural finite element analysis (FEA) for short fiber reinforced plastic & copper alloy-based high-speed interconnect systems, through Hypermesh & Abaqus tools or ANSYS tools. 61 Deliver reliable FEA results in a timely manner and effectively communicate them with product design engineers through clear written and verbal presentations. 61 Provide design recommendations to improve and optimize product structural performance based on FEA results, ensuring that design targets are met. 61 Participate in the correlation of CAE simulations to real-world tests and improve existing modeling methods as needed. 61 Develop new FEA techniques and modeling methods, working both independently and collaboratively with vendors to improve their accuracy and efficiency. 61 Lead the development of new products and oversee the activities of global teams, ensuring alignment with engineering management priorities. 61 Publish technical papers and patents.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
61 B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Related Engineering Discipline. 61 6+ years’ experience with nonlinear implicit and explicit finite element analysis. 61 6+ years of ABAQUS or ANSYS FEA Simulation Software Experience. 61 2+ years’ experience with parametric CAD systems (UG NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.) 61 Good verbal and written English communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. 61 Customer service skills that demonstrate the ability to respond to user problems with a sense of urgency.

61 M.S. or Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Engineering Discipline. 61 10+ years’ experience with Altair (Hyperworks, Simlab) family products. 61 5+ years’ experience with CAE modeling applications in predicting nonlinear structural behavior on short fiber reinforced plastics & metals. 61 Experience with explicit solver, e.g., LS-DYNA, Abaqus Explicit. 61 Experience with molding simulation software, e.g., Moldflow, Moldex-3D, Digimat, Converse, etc. 61 Experience with Python scripting & CAE process automation tools (modeFrontier, Isight, optiSLang, etc.) 61 Established records of invention such as patent ownership or technical paper authorship.
