Objectives:
61Responsible to collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel and provide services relating to design review, repair, and maintenance, including predictive / preventative maintenance activities in rotating discipline.
61Additionally, provides technical support for Root Cause Failure Analyses, troubleshooting of problems, and monitoring Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance programs and lead subgroup work.
Main Tasks:
1.EHSS Responsibilities
The engineer is responsible for the implementation of safety, EHSS policy, procedures and BASF Responsible Care Codes of the site to ensure compliance and safe maintenance activities. The particular responsibilities are to:
61Develop and update department procedures based on company EHS policy and procedures.
61Ensure all the activities in the department follow the company EHS policy and procedures.
61Act as incident commander or support the incident commander in case of certain serious emergency.
61Conduct department safety meeting and auditing.
61Prepare safe job instructions for mechanical maintenance works.
61Educate safe job instructions, EHS guidelines, MSDS of all materials handled for maintenance work to own employees & contractors.
61Perform periodic inspection for plant equipment facilities in charge.
61Perform maintenance work requested by Production, EHSS and other departments. In any case, the *** priority is to secure safe operation & environmental protection. However, cannot change or revise anything of process facility without plant manager’s approval for safe operation.
61Conduct General, Preventive, Emergency maintenance and Annual turnaround under plant manager’s request & approval for safe & stable operation. It also is required to discuss or inform with/to EHS manager, especially in case of Emergency maintenance & Annual turnaround.
61Record & keep maintenance history record of important rotating facility & equipment.
61Participate in Process Safety review, Management of Change, Pre-start up safety review, plant inspection and so on.
61Evaluate the qualifications and conformance of contractors according to regulations and EHS procedures.
61Dispose lawfully wastes (except wastes managed by production department) occurred during rotating maintenance and repair work.
61Observe the company EHS policy, procedures and working instructions.
61To take EHS requirements into consideration prior to any activity or work to make sure that the launching work is safe to prevent/minimize the safety risk, environment pollution and other potential hazards.
61Attend all EHS training as required.
61Familiarize themselves with MSDS of hazardous substances within workplace.
61Develop safe working skills and habits.
61Assist colleagues with EHS requirements.
61Have the responsible for promptly reporting to direct line manager in case of incidents and near miss or exposure to hazardous substance.
61Inform line manager of any hazard, unsafe condition or practice.
61Always practice good housekeeping and keep workplace clean.
61Fulfill other specific requirements according to BPCC procedures.
2.Personnel management
61Continuously train and develop team member’s skills and competences in terms of technical and process knowledge to ensure own employees and contractors to reach required level of competence for mechanical maintenance.
3.Maintenance
61Responsible for the sustainability of maintenance execution processes are being followed including notification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution, and feedback
61Lead all rotating equipment maintenance activities in whole plant and be responsible directly for the reliability of rotating equipment.
61Alignment of the daily execution team to meet production, EHS, budget, and continuous improvement objectives and targets
61Responsible for on-site inventory of capital and operating spares to ensuring adequate parts supply and cost effectiveness and develop supplier relationships to improve performance.
61Support for the content of the rotating Maintenance procedures
61Support the design, specification and installation of all instrumentation and electrical equipment for new CAPEX project and upgrading MOC work.
61Ensure work execution productivity (Time on Tools) supporting maintenance costs optimization
61Ensure ***-time repair quality in an accurate, efficient, and effective manner
61Assist in the training and development of in-house maintenance resources.
61Develop disciplined and systematic equipment Maintenance strategy based upon business needs.
61To establish, monitor, and optimize Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance Plans. Lead the implementation of mechanical maintenance and reliability strategies that are consistent with requirements as defined by BASF procedure such as preventive maintenance plan, RBM, RCFA, BAP, MPI, Circle, computerize maintenance and so on.
61Support autonomous maintenance activities of Production personnel
61Lead the use of LEAN manufacturing tools to identify waste and drive continuous improvement
61Responsible for the retention of documentation of inspections, repairs and maintenance systems
61Responsible for implementation of the incident investigation process including Investigation, root cause analysis, action items, documentation and follow-up for incidents involving their employees
61Collect yearly TAR work item list and prepare detail planning to support TAR coordinator prepare TAR overall scheduling.
61Responsible for the safety and quality of all work conduction on site in responsibility area.
61Prepare and submit qualified TAR report on time.
4.Others
61Other ad-hoc duties assigned by manager.
Education
61Process equipment and control engineering/ Chemical mechanics engineering/ mechanical, Bachler degree or above, Diploma
Working Experience
615+ years in mechanical engineering / maintenance in petrochemical or chemical industry
Technical & Professional Knowledge
61Slid knowledge in static equipment, piping and rotating equipment.
61Good understanding of related engineering standards as well as legal requirements,
61Good interpersonal skill and communication.
61High sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
61Good English communication skills in both spoken & written.
