ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Continuously and actively pursues and drives improvement opportunities in the process, based on business benefits. Look for new process capabilities to improve the efficiency and quality. Establishes him/herself as the point of contact for process improvement between R&D, production, quality and engineering teams in the manufacturing sites. Actively participates in defining corrective & preventive actions, and pursues active verification of such CAPA plans Align and help start Cpk, SPC, etc for processes, with use of statistical tools. Leads failure analysis and implements solutions through a structural and standardized process approach. (6 sigma) Supports electrical and mechanical change initiatives through risk identification and by working closely with R&D to maintain product/process quality levels. Contributes information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; including periodic presentation of improvements to Sr. Company Management. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a process environment. Experience in electrical component manufacturing processes, detailed experience with soldering or assembly processes is considered as a distinct advantage. Knowledge of electronic component international safety standards e.g. UL, VDE etc. Solid knowledge of general quality and manufacturing processes/ techniques, (statistical) quality control programs, engineering and technology principles and practices. Strong ability to interpret and understand mechanical and electrical product documentation. Strong ability to identify process weaknesses and defines measures how to correct them. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, identifying and addressing problems, and meeting deadlines. Ability to set priorities in a fast-paced development environment. Has business sense with an ability to drive and make sound business decisions. Be familiar with IPC610 Well spoken and written in bi-lingual (English / Chinese). EDUCATION: University degree in Engineering. Excellent verbal communication and listening ability, clear and to-the-point writing, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills. Self-confident with a high degree of patience, accuracy and attention to detail combined with the ability to process information quickly and in a manner that's consistent with existing procedures and instructions. Self-motivated, structural & independent. Confident to take initiative in solving issues and carry out all position related duties with minimal supervision. COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS: Mastery of MS Windows and basic MS Office applications. Statistical applications would be a big plus. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: Adheres to all requirements for confidentiality of corporate, finance, R&D. Adheres to direction from management on distribution controls, secure filing and disposal, records retention and storage for drawings, contracts and other confidential or sensitive materials. Regular travel within China is required to visit 2 factories. REFERENCES: Required.
