PSS-QA Regular – English&Japanese Automation Test Engineer - 英语日语自动化测试工程师
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced English Automation Test Engineer to join our software testing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our English-based software applications. The Automation Test Engineer will work closely with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and create efficient and effective automation test scripts. The successful candidate should have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and develop test plans and test cases for English-based software applications and systems.
· Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
· Execute automation tests and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
· Work with developers to reproduce and debug issues and strive to resolve them.
· Identify, analyze, and document software defects, anomalies, and deviations from established standards.
· Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software testability and quality aspects.
· Continuously improve testing processes and methods to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing work.
· Stay up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and best practices in automation testing.
· Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress and results to project teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
· Fluent communication in English for discussing project-related issues.
· Fluent in reading and writing Japanese.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) testing engineering positions.
· Minimum of 1 years of experience in UI automation testing.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in API automation testing.
· Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for automation testing, such as JavaScript, Java, or Python.
· Familiarity with the concepts, methods, and tools of automation testing. Strong programming skills and coding knowledge in automation testing. Familiarity with at least one automation framework and the ability to independently set up and optimize it, such as:
o NodeJS + Mocha + Chai
o Java + Cucumber
o Python + Pytest, etc.
o JUnit, TestNG
o Selenium
o Appium
· Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
· Familiarity with SQL for regular database operations (such as CRUD).
· Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing principles.
· Strong problem analysis and solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve software defects and issues.
· Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the development team and other relevant departments.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear test reports and documentation.
· Self-driven and eager to learn, with the ability to keep up with the development of new technologies and industry trends.
· Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Relevant English certifications or prior work experience in English Project.
· Relevant Japanese certifications or prior work experience in Japanese Project.
· ISTQB or other relevant certifications are preferred.
· Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence.
· Familiarity with microservices testing/backend testing.
· Knowledge of Shell scripting and Linux commands.
