Primary Function: The Dry Coil Manufacturing Engineer will lead the design, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes for dry coils used in HVAC systems. This role ensures efficient, cost-effective production while maintaining high quality and compliance with BAC and industry standards. Responsibilities include process design, equipment selection, production troubleshooting, fixture and tooling development and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 61 Manufacturing Process Design & Optimization: o Develop and refine production processes for dry coil fabrication, including fin pressing, tube cutting, tube expanding, brazing, and assembly. o Implement Lean Manufacturing to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve productivity and cost. o Design tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enhance production efficiency and product consistency. o Share best practices and align the manufacturing process over BAC global dry coil manufacturing plants. 61 Quality & Compliance: o Work with QA teams to establish inspection quality control plan (e.g., leak testing, dimensional accuracy) and ensure compliance with ASHRAE, ISO standards and customer special requirement. o Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production defects and implement corrective actions (e.g., 8D report). o Validate processes using statistical tools (e.g., Cpk, Ppk) to ensure capability. 61 Continuous Improvement: o Identify opportunities and lead to reduce material, labor and manufacturing OH waste o Monitor industry trends in HVAC and heat transfer technologies to seek improvement opportunities. 61 Production Support: o Provide real-time troubleshooting support for production line issues (e.g., process parts defects, downtime). o Train production staff on standard work, new processes. o Monitor KPIs (Productivity, scrap rates, OEE etc.) and drive initiatives to meet targets. 61 New Product Introduction (NPI): o Partner with Engineering to transition prototypes to full-scale production, ensuring manufacturability. o Develop process validation plans (IQ/OQ) for new coil designs. 61 Documentation & Compliance: o Create detailed work instructions, PFMEAs, and process flow diagrams. 61 Other tasks superiors assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Required Attributes 61 Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical /Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering/HVAC. 61 Experience: above 5 years in dry coil manufacturing. Foreign company experiences preferred. 61 Skills: o Excellent problem-solving, and teamwork. o Strong communication skill both in Mandarin and English o Strong learning ability o Lean/TPS mindset, KAIZEN project experience preferred o Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, 3D preferred), MS office, process simulation tools preferred.
