The QC Inspector inspects bulk materials and final products to ensure quality construction and adherence to specifications developed for each product.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Monitor product excellence through the enforcement of R.G. Barry quality standards and policy deployment.
2. Monitor and manage factory performance. Develop and drive corrective actions plans with factories based on performance indicators.
3. Perform random in-line and final lot inspections on a regular basis, particularly on *** shipments of any new product.
4. Drive, execute and manage QA projects assigned by manager and communicate the progress against action items in a timely manner. Drive continuous improvement projects by contributing ideas and suggestions to set goals and define action plans.
5. Share the best practices with factory partners, help them to have record maintenance.
6. Be able to conduct the training sessions to the new on board and existing vendors regarding R.G. Barry quality requirements.
7. Develop and maintain a high degree of connectivity with Development team through effective communication, participation in key meetings and processes.
8. Act as liaison between factory and manufacturing unit to R.G. Barry.
9. Assist the functional team in implementation of and adherence to R.G. Barry Code of Conduct, Compliance guidelines, and Environmental Engineering projects.
Qualifications and Competencies:
1. Must have sufficient product knowledge and understanding of footwear production process.
2. Requires knowledge of factory management customs, cultures and business practices and the ability to work successfully within those varying environments.
3. Must demonstrate an ability to communicate clear, timely and effective direction in both Chinese and English, and both orally and in writing. Able to appropriately direct, influence and persuade people across cultures and without direct authority.
