The Baggallini QC Inspector is responsible to execute the company’s four step quality control inspection process in accordance with Company Standards documentation. This role inspects bulk materials, monitors inline production, checks packaging and all shipping markings and final products to ensure quality construction and adherence to specifications developed for each product.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Active participant in company/factory quality pre-production meetings to review PP samples and discuss workmanship and quality standards during production.
2. Executes the company’s inspection plan each week based on the QC inspection schedule and assignments received from QC supervisor.
3. Inspects and approves bulk materials before production. Ensures bulk materials used in production are from approved/certified suppliers.
4. Visits factories to perform inspections during production to ensure products are being produced correctly according to specifications and Company Standards for workmanship. Completes appropriate inspection documentation for each inspection scheduled (pre-production materials, inline, packaging/cartons, and final inspections.
5. Performs a final inspection on assigned products before they are shipped to the Distribution Centers. Completes final inspection documentation for each inspection scheduled (per color/style).
6. Excellent communicator with team and with factory associates. Reports ongoing production status and any issues during production that are a concern. Provides constant feedback on factory operational status, associate working conditions and any material change in factories operation can have an impact on the company’s future business.
7. Ensures that all packing materials – including hangtags, UPC’s, polybags, carton markings, carton weight/measurements are correct before they leave the factory.
Qualifications and Competencies:
1. Requires high school education and 2 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Requires strong communication/listening skills. Must be able to work in a team environment.
3. Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision.
4. Needs to be an excellent communicator. Must be able to inspire trust with teammates, customers, and vendors.
5. Must have a disciplined and consistent approach with factories. Focus is on the customer, company standards and core values.
6. Requires willingness to travel between factories in China / Overseas as needed.
