Key Responsibilities:

Material Management

1. Trace the technology and intention of materials applied in footwear industry, collecting information from market, existing material suppliers.
2. Research material knowledge and advanced process technology, from polymers (especially foam material), textile, adhesive, printing materials and other related material types.
3. Setting-up and maintaining material library, manage and optimize a live material database in SAP or material management toolkit.
4. Taking part in management of material suppliers, and leading supplier information management in SAP system, technical support to the team on daily work.

RSL Management

1. Optimize RSL management system, create and maintain compony RSL policy and work procedure over implementation.
2. Research on RSL and chemical knowledge, including RSL standards and implantation details from each customer (brands) and footwear industry. And research on high-risk substances to evaluate potential risk on new substances and new materials.
3. Lead RSL implementation internal and in supply chain to ensure a reliable RSL situation, from new development to mass production. Which includes:
86 Summarize RSL condition on specific brand and product family.
86 Create initial RSL compliance documents to customer, submit senior team for signoff.
86 Plan RSL test on materials or products, as per customer requirement and based on company’s RSL running condition.
4. Managing the RSL test investment, to ensure it is necessary, reasonable and valuable.
5. Guide supply chain on RSL implementation, including RSL compliance agreements and RSL test reports from suppliers, and manage them in management system.
6. Technical support to team RSL standard requirement, Testing requirement, and details over implementation.

Physical Property Database Management

1. Optimize material and product physical property management system, create and maintain company policy, standard and work procedures.
2. Study footwear industry and customer’s PP standards, sharing knowledge with the team.
3. Refresh existing Insite PP test standard when necessary.
4. Guide the physical property implementation, including supplier’s material and component test report checking, evaluating and confirmation to meet brand PP requirement, including test method and standard. Which includes:
5. Newly developed products - arrange PP test as per product developer’s test request.
6. Mass production - arrange brand specific PP test to satisfy customer.
7. Internal audit management - to ensure all materials are under control.
8. Test result (reports) management in system, for easy sourcing and pre-audit before send to departments and customer.
9. Technical support to the team on customers (brands) standards and test results, on specified projects and technical problems.

Test Management (at 3rd Party Lab)

1. Optimize company’s outsourced test source.
2. Work with 3rd party labs closely, to align test standards applied on PP and RSL test.
3. Test cost management, price negotiation with lab, and getting approval from senior management team.
4. Work with 3rd party test on specific test performing, Support the team to easy the operation on each test.
5. Trace test progress in lab, to ensure all test are conducted smoothly in 3rd party test lab.
6. Review test result and feedback to the test applicant and manage test results in system.

Material (Supplier) Information Collection and Organization

1. Organize and input existing material supplier information, and new material supplier information into SAP.
2. Collect market information by attending professional trade shows, and regular contact with existing material suppliers.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree or above, major in Polymer science, Chemistry, Textile Mechanical engineering.
2. Strong knowledge on polymer material, Textile, and Chemistry. And experienced material management in footwear industry.
3. Familiar with material property assessment, including Polymer foam, textile, and finished shoe and components.
4. Strong knowledge and solid experience on chemical compliance (Restricted Substance List).
5. Well-Organized, and with troubleshooting skills with engineering principles.
6. Good teamwork and open mind in an international company environment.
7. Good English proficiency.
8. Able to travel as needed to various locations.
