PURPOSE :
1.The components sourcing is responsible for searching and selecting the suitable components to support the development and innovation, negotiating for best prices, terms and conditions with designated suppliers for components, in line with targeted sourcing objectives;
2.He or she will provide cost analysis, and technical cost reduction support at the new development, and provide the value engineering (included dual sourcing) proposals to meet the cost saving targets.
3. Ensure the nominated components delivery will support the finished goods MP delivery
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
-Execute established the components and related supplier management system, included the component supplier KPI establishment under the direction of the Global Sourcing Director .
-Aggressively negotiate and maintain the best prices of the components, search cost reduction opportunities with the suppliers.
-Keep and maintain the price matrix updated on component and used a tool to explore and execute the opportunity of cost saving.
-Negotiate and seek the opportunities to shorten the production leadtime of the components.
-Summarize and select the top components, then foresee the potential risk of the supply or quality through the data analysis and provide the solutions, also find the cost saving chance.
-Lead to analyse and propose the components dual sourcing, and manage the dual sourcing, once confirm the dual sourcing projects.
-Lead to analyse the root cause and find the solution, when a crush of orders in the component supplier happened, to support the sourcing manager to secure the on-time delivery of the related finished goods orders in different FG suppliers.
-Search the new components or other raw materials available in the market.
-Co-ordinate with PD team to source and select the appropriate component supplier to meet the cost target.
-Push and Maintain the GRS and CT reports with the RM suppliers.
