Position Summary:
The Global Data Engineer will play a critical role in driving the integration of data sources across our global operations as well as our IIoT initiatives. This position involves designing and implementing advanced data solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and foster innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in data engineering and cloud computing, along with a passion for leveraging data to solve complex industrial challenges.
Person Specifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#, experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Databricks). Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Power Point is a must.
4. Cloud Platforms: Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and proficiency with database and data storage solutions (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) is a must.
5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
