Job Description: Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Battery Industry Location: DongGuan Department: Strategy BU Reports to: BU General Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with deep expertise in the battery industry, particularly in Cell and Pack technologies. This role will act as a bridge between our technical and commercial teams, ensuring seamless support for customer interactions and driving technical excellence across projects. Key Responsibilities: 1.Sales & Customer Support 61 Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and deliver technical solutions. 61 Provide pre-sale technical guidance to customers, addressing product specifications, feasibility, and technical challenges. 61 Support customer meetings and negotiations with in-depth technical expertise. 61 Troubleshoot technical issues and provide quick resolutions during the customer lifecycle. 2.Project Management & Execution 61 Drive the execution of battery-related projects from design to mass production, ensuring alignment with customer expectations. 61 Manage cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. 61 Create and maintain project timelines, deliverables, and key milestones, ensuring on-time delivery. 3.Technical Expertise 61 Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on battery Cell, Pack technologies, and associated components (BMS, thermal management). 61 Evaluate new technical requirements and trends, ensuring the team stays competitive in the market. 61 Provide technical input on product improvement, design changes, and customer requirements. 4.Risk & Issue Management 61 Identify project risks and technical challenges early, developing mitigation strategies to minimize delays or defects. 61 Coordinate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in collaboration with internal teams. Qualifications: 61 5+ years of experience in the battery industry, with a focus on Cell and Pack technologies. 61 Strong understanding of battery manufacturing processes, materials, and testing standards. 61 Proven track record in technical program management with Tier 1 customers (e.g., Apple, Meta). 61 Ability to translate technical details into commercial insights for the sales team and customers. 61 Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. 61 Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing) to support global customers and communicate with internal stakeholders effectively. 61 Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders. 61 Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Preferred Skills: 61 Hands-on experience with battery pack development for consumer electronics. 61 Knowledge of BMS systems, thermal management, and safety protocols. 61 Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). 61 PMP or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
