Key Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for packaging problems troubleshooting involving structure designs and packaging materials, work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers, provide creative, timely and cost- effective solutions, and follow up the improvement process and result. 2. Support suppliers in packaging construction development from structural concept, mock- up sample, packaging tests to approval. Provide packaging advice and support to internal and external parties. 3. Work closely with sourcing team and suppliers, conduct cost analysis and benefit assessments of packaging materials and structural design against industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement in quality and cost. 4. Create packaging standard and technical specifications and have it implemented in factories, ensure the packaging meets company quality standard and expectations. 5. Ensure packaging materials are environmentally sustainable and comply with regulations. 6. Perform packaging performance tests to ensure durability during transportation and storage. 7. Identify areas for improvement in existing packaging solutions and implement changes. 8. Packaging supplier & new packaging materials sourcing.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in packaging, packaging engineering, Industrial Design or other profession in related field. 2. At least 5 years of experience working directly with vendors/suppliers and major US/EU retailers or Mail-order companies. 3. Knowledge of different package materials such as paper, foams, blister, polybag and etc. 4. Familiar with international package standards (ISTA and etc.) 5. Proficiency in Packaging Engineering software (Illustrator, Auto CAD, Photoshop, Core-Draw and etc.) 6. Familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and etc.) 7. Fluent English skill in oral and written 8. Frequent travel is required
