Key Responsibilities: 1. Test System Development: 61 Develop and integrate advanced HDD test technologies 61 HDD test method development 61 Test system programming 61 Lead advanced HDD test technology projects 2. Plan and Schedule: HDD test plan and schedule, including personnel arrangements, testing methods, progress, etc., and ensure the smooth progress of the plan. 3. FA and Data Analysis: HDD failure analysis and data proceed. Perform root cause analysis and present regular FA reports and improvement plans. 3. Management and Subordinate Training: Team management, train and mentor junior, and new hire engineers on Magnetic Recording Physics, HDD technologies and HDD test technologies. 4. Communication: As a communication bridge between the internal team and customers, ensure the smooth completion and delivery of testing and development projects.
Qualifications: 1. Education: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Master or Ph.D. degree holder will be better. 2. Experience: 10+ years Test Development experience in Hard Disk Drive industry with a focus on Magnetic Recording test technology development. 3. Expertise: Subject Matter Experts in one of following 3 HDD subsystems of HDD are preferred: 61 HDI (Head Disc Interface) 61 Read/Write 61 Servo/SW (HDD Servo and Servo Writing) 4. Technical Skills: Proficient in C++ or Python programming languages, with good coding practices and code optimization abilities. Having hardware knowledge (such as digital/analog electronics, signal transmission) will be better. 5. Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify root causes of HDD test issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions. 6. Leadership: Can manage and mentor a high-performing test team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 7. Language and Communication: Fluent in both Chinese and English with strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and customers. Japanese proficiency is a strong plus.
