Key Responsibilities: - Lead new product development projects of both China and Vietnam. - Source new suppliers and materials that meet company’s price and quality standards - Be independently able to conduct negotiation, sample reviews, meeting with suppliers - Review initial designs and provide feedback on function, quality, and cost opportunities on new product development - Maintain sample timelines and ensure the vendor is meeting all deliverables - Review product design for risk management and compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and manufacturing specifications - Supplier Forecast/ Capacity Analysis, routine review of rolling monthly supplier forecast and capacity plans, keep management well informed of status of all upcoming projects. - Key supplier’s relationship maintenance, coach suppliers to prioritize company’s business in production. - Establish and maintain supplier scorecard, evaluate suppliers’ performance, identify the areas for improvement and partner with PD & Quality teams to implement of corrective actions. - Take the accountability of operations management, and manage QC team for in-line inspection, trouble shooting and prevent major issues happening in final inspection - Address any potential problems from factories and fix them immediately. Identify key areas of concern by clients, team, order, supplier product quality and take necessary action to correct - Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure full transparency and awareness throughout the product development and production timeline
Key Requirements: - 10+ years of Sourcing, Product Development or technical experience in furniture industry - Knowledge of global supply base and strong supplier development experience for glasses, wood, steel, metal products - Solid knowledge on the structure and quality standards of the solid experience for wood, glasses, steel, metal furniture - Strong Critical Management skill and ensure each process within timeline - Strong project management skill, ability to communicate with cross-functional project team proactively & effectively, ability to multi-task and prioritize, deliver project result - Skilled at Microsoft Office software and working with different systems to retrieve and analyze data - Good command of English writing and speaking - Willing to travel domestic and overseas, e.g., Vietnam
