Otto International is seeking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager, Footwear to join our Dongguan team. In this exciting role, you will be taken as an important role to lead an effective team to provide diversified services to our customers and support to our local merchandising team, quality team and supplier, including team management, product development, quality management, sourcing & researching and 3D design.

How will you make a difference?

1.Team Management
Develop, motivate & challenge all team members to perform at their full potential.
Provide direct & timely feedback (formally & informally) support and coaching.
Delegate and organize departmental workload according to project assignments.
Evaluate and schedule appropriate training programs and seminars for team members.
Initiate and manage new R&D project for customers.
Guide internal and external partners to bring projects to a success.

2.Product Development
Manage all product development process with customer and vendor.
Define product development direction and plan based on the analysis of customer and market trends, offer attractive collections to customers.
Provide trends and inspiration analysis report to customers.
Optimize development process, shorten development cycle.
Bridge order requirement from development stage to mass production smoothly.
Ensure products meet requirements of customers, good price, high quality, fast delivery and feasibility for bulk production.

3.Quality Management
Monitor quality of development samples for all brands.
Offer technical supports to merchandising team for quality improvement.
Check fitting sample and confirmation sample, provide professional comments, reports and guidance to vendor to meet up quality and delivery requirements.
Monitor production manufacturing process, ensure the high quality of production.
Provide technical support in any stage of product development & production stage.
Work with quality team and vendors to resolve any technical problems, find and solve any potential quality issues during production.
Monitor & evaluate the level quality management and quality improvement of all vendors.

4. Sourcing & Researching
Source trend materials from market and supplier in sync with development calendar.
Recommend new materials,new construction and new technology to customers.
Source and research sustainable material,market trends and innovation continuously.
Organize and maintain materials library.
Develop and optimize supplier management system.

5. 3D Design
Offer attractive new designs to customer according to popular trends.
Analyze all customers and select best seller styles to create new colourways and new uppers with new material.
Lead 3D team with creating virtual samples for customers.

Who are we looking for?
10+ years’ experience in footwear with 5 years technical background and minimum 5 years in managerial role
Strong sense of innovation, unique vision, keen grasp of popular trends
Diploma or above graduate in Engineering or related subjects
Good technical & shoe making knowledge and a good understanding of the manufacturing process
Good command of written & spoken English
Good computer skills in terms of Office 365 and Sharepoint, experienced in PPT is preferred.
Demonstrated R&D project management skills
Proven abstraction skills with an open minded and thinking “outside the box” approach
Demonstrated capability to create innovative technical solutions
Demonstrated tenacity and flexibility to rapidly and reliably achieve goals
Have a strong sense of responsibility and can work under pressure
Strong analytical focus to deliver objective driven analysis and results
