What You Will Do

1. Develop regional automation machinery category strategy and implement the strategy in sourcing decision for automation machinery purchase.
2. Drive year-over-year cost improvement in automation machinery spend through supplier negotiation.
3. Champion and secure TCO reductions for the category across divisions and countries.
4. Support NPI/NPD project and meet project requirements on cost, delivery, and quality.
5. Drive year-over-year working capital improvement and payment term extension.
6. Lead regular business reviews meetings with suppliers to improve supplier performance.
7. Develop clean sheet/should cost model for customized automation equipment.
8. Negotiation and maintenance of contracts and supply conditions.
9. Drive VA/VE and localization/substitution projects to improve profitability.
10. Develop regional preferred supplier strategy to improve supplier performance.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
l Bachelor degree in Automation or M&E Engineering, MBA or Master is an advantage.
l 3-5 years sourcing/procurement experience in connector, RF/Optical communication, EMS, automotive electronics, wire harness industries.
l Minimum 3 years in category management experience, better Capex related.
l Excellent negotiation skills, being able to build a compelling case and convince others.
l Familiar with contracting with multi-national large companies.
l Good interpersonal skills to enable and manage stakeholders.
l Adaptable towards a rapidly changing and transforming environment.
l Experience in working in multi-cultural and cross-functional environment.
l Experience in an innovative but also cost-driven environment.
l CPSM or CIPS certification is preferred, experience in international trade.
l Expertise in industrial machine, test equipment and automation.
l Insights in advanced manufacturing supply base market intelligence & dynamics
l Fluent in English & Chinese. Able to converse in Japanese/Korean is a plus.
l Excellent communication and coordination skill
l Good project management skill
l Strong Excel and PowerPoint presentation skill

What Will Put You Ahead
1. Solid working experience in interconnect, automation, or automotive electronics industries, tooling design experience etc.
2. Category Manager- Capex (industrial machinery)
