Main Tasks:
1. Contribute to a culture of innovation by open discussion, generating novel concepts and enhancements for materials, by identifying relevant trends, and translating these into internal innovation proposals. 2. Research and Development of new materials and surface treatments (incl. adhe-sives) for sealing applications, via the use of new materials, unconventional material combinations, innovative surface technologies, concepts and ideas 3. Support Advanced Technology and Business Development in all its stages as rec-ognized material and surface technologies expert 4. Contribute to other teams in R&D, sales, engineering and innovation in mutual de-velopment projects 5. In collaboration with T&I laboratories carry out advanced component tests and mate-rial analyses to improve the final products 6. Keep close contact to material suppliers, and monitor the market for new materials 7. Planning and management of material development projects at global level 8. Coordinate the Material and Surface technology projects between the T&I group in Europe and in Asia. 9. Support of Datwyler research and development activities worldwide 10. Initiate and supervise collaboration with universities and research institutes 11. Document your work in project reports, protect your inventions by patents, and pub-lish your research results in specialist publications, or in the form of presentations at conferences

Qualification:
1.Maste degree, More than 5 years working experience in rubber, especially “thermoset rubber” 2.Specific knowledge in one or more of following fields: elastomers, thermoplastics, nanomaterials, or surface chemistry 3.Constructive, team-player, open-minded, innovative, problem-solver, committed, communicative and well structured, with the ability to work independently 4.Good written, reading or oral English ability. 5.Willingness to work in Dongguan area 6.Flexible to business travel
