The Dongguan Laboratory is part of the EBU global network of laboratories situated in multiple manufacturing and engineering locations across Asia and US. The Dongguan Laboratory supports the product and analytical test requirements of all business units within Littelfuse: Electronics, Automotive and Industrial. While most test requirements come from the local customers within China, the Laboratory may be required to support global product and analytical test requirements as the need arise.
61 The Senior Test Engineer is the resident expert in terms of characterizing and testing circuit protection products. The primary responsibility includes test equipment set-up, software development, hardware-software integration, test execution, documentation and communicating results with internal and external customers. The individual reports to the Laboratory Manager and the position is in Dongguan, China.
About the job: Supports Engineering and Sales in terms of Applications and customer-driven tests that leads to design wins and increased revenue Develops required test setups and executes needed tests Communicates test results to internal and external customers Develops and acquires new characterization methods to improve accuracy, efficiency and quality of data needed Improves test procedures using hardware and software tools such as VEE, LabWindows, Visual Basic, and others to speed-up testing or data collection and analysis Identifies and recommends new lab equipment, new tools, and procedure improvements to the Laboratory Manager Other tasks from Laboratory manager
About you: MS or BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, preferred major in high voltage/electrical engineering. 1. At least 5 years experiences in new product design or testing engineering in electronics and/or semiconductor industry with experience in design and assembly of test equipment in a production or laboratory.
2. Prefer experienced in testing a wide variety of devices such as varistor,SPD,fuses,electromechanical devices, semiconductors and others.
3. Solid understanding of analog electronics.
4. Ability to operate well independently or as a team member in a fast-paced environment. Able to handle complex problems efficiently by utilizing available or new tools.
