DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Design the applicator and blade for Fakra; *** related products; 2.Debug the crimping semi automation and full automation; 3.Participate in DFA/DFM activities along with cross functional team. Provide manufacturing plant’s feedback based on lessons learned and continuous improvement efforts. 4.New technology evaluation and implement; 5.Knowledge sharing between Molex DG;Molex PHL and Molex GDL; 6.Study the project scope, put together manufacturing strategy that aligns with our vision and future product pipeline. 7.Work with equipment vendors during equipment design, development, testing and qualification. Collaborate & apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. Actively contribute to equipment FAT and SAT runs. 8.Participate in equipment design reviews. Solicit observations from the plants for a robust machine design. 9.Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. 10.Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
REQUIREMENTS: 1.BS in Industrial, Control System or Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering disciplines. 2.8+ years of experience in machine & tooling design; debug; trouble shoot solutions; Knowledge of various manufacturing assembly processes like screwing, soldering, dispensing, crimping, welding is essential. 3.8 years working experience in machine; tooling development; automation for manufacturing processes. 4.8 years experience with machine builders to build and deploy manual and automated equipment. 5.Ability to understand customer technical needs, specifications and advanced automotive architecture and effectively provide solutions to both the customer and present these opts to Molex Business Unit 6.Good understanding of assembly concepts, mechanical aspect of automated equipment, fixturing and tooling is required. 7.Must be able to travel up to 20-30%, including potential international travel.
