DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Strategy: Align with outsource category manager for procurement strategy and implement the strategy in daily work. Align with Product and Project Management and virtual plant leaders for the product roadmap and better serve from TCO, Continuous Supply point. 2. Leadership: Anticipate and lead change. Envision what could be, challenge status quo, and drive change. Develop supply base to meet business needs and drive continuous improvement. Elaborate Monthly KPI evaluation reports or meetings for internal Business leaders’ communication. 3. New Product Launch: Work with New Product Development Sourcing team and the Project Management teams to ensure all PDP milestones are met. Ensure the suppliers are ready for launch and that they can ramp up per the customer’s needs. 4. Pricing & Cost: Conduct should-cost and TCO analyses to support annual cost reduction target and virtual plant business target. 5. Supply Base Development & Management: Maintain long term supplier relationships with Outsourcing Preferred & Approved Supplier List. Secure supply. Assess risk and lead mitigation efforts. Implement Supply Agreements and Inventory management agreements. Drive IT integration with key suppliers to improve efficiencies and communication. 6. Supplier Performance: Work with quality and supply chain team to monitor supplier’s performance by use of the Supplier Scorecard. Achieve year on year performance improvements. Utilize Supplier Inventory Management programs or other Supply Chain Tools as required to improve cash flow, lead time, and cost. 7. Compliance: Conduct all affairs with integrity. Ensure that the Supply Base and the Molex Procurement team operate within the framework of regulatory and legal requirements. This includes but is not limited to compliance with Safety, Environmental, Tax, Customs and Ethical requirements. Gain understanding and acceptance of respective documents, such as the Molex Code of Conduct, Molex Terms and Conditions and cover any other requirements through Supply Agreements. 8. Best Practices: Promote the implementation of “best practices” as it relates to Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Meet periodically with other Procurement teams across Divisions to share best practices, supplier information, etc.
Requirements: 61 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business. 61 Proven Supply Chain or Procurement Experience. 61 3+ years of experience in Direct Spend sourcing with Procurement function focused on Electrical and Mechanical categories. Global knowledge of suppliers and international markets. Related industry experience. 61 Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization. 61 Team player with strong project management skills / Ability to work with multiple functions in locations throughout the world. 61 Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. 61 Demonstrated experience in negotiation. 61 High sense of responsibility, quick learner, high sense of urgency, high energy, and self-motivated. 61 Computer proficiency (spreadsheet, database, presentation software) 61 Alignment to Koch-Molex PBM Philosophy.
Preferred: 61 MBA or other related graduate degree 61 Outsource procurement experience. 61 Cable Assembly & Connector Assembly technical sourcing experience. 61 SAP and Ariba experience. 61 Fluent in both oral and written English.
